For a wet Spring weekend – some interesting (mostly all female vocals) downtempo electro music.
It really is an exciting time for well formed solid electronic music. Everywhere you look, another new talent arrives on the music scene. Each with their own unique sound, look and YouTube collection.
Both Lykke Li and Little Boots are resurfacing the coming face of electronic music – with bows to Hot Chip for paving the way (I completely forgive Hot Chip for an awful live show at the Orange Peel, Asheville NC ).

Opening the mix with a big drum set and the warm female vocals mash-up of Goldfrapp and Penelope Trappes from The Golden Filter. Little Boots brings the mix into a Quick 80′s flash back, with layers of indie pop electro with New Order, The Police and rounding of the mix Lily Allen’s huge chart success “The Fear” – encore goes to Adele with Hometown Glory….. Enjoy the The first in a series of the 320 collection-:iguy.

Robots In Disguise – We’re In the Music Biz
Groove Armada – Pull Up (Crank It Up)
New Order – Blue Monday 88

Adele – Hometown Glory (Chewy Chocolate Cookies Remix)
ATLANTA EVENT
If you happen to be in Atlanta this coming Wednesday be sure to check out the “Honey Pot” event at Mary’s East Atlanta.
It’s an earlier night so come as early as 8 p.m. to hear new and classic indie jams courtesy of DJ Slumberjack. For more information be sure to check out Mary’s events on Facebook.
I keep raving about Little Boots, including her in most every mix over the past year, posted her videos and kept you up to date on live shows and soon to be released first full album. In these two live video shots (both the same performance – from two sources) – anyway, Little Boot completely forgets the words and still manages to pull off a Stella performance.
PEACHES: Is back… and she is brilliant. Enjoy the new mix which features 3 new Peaches tracks and a bunch of other new releases, with a few reaches to the past – The Police & Joy Division. Be sure to comment the mix! Enjoy: Captain iGUY
