Summer Playlist
Can you believe that Summer 2010 is coming to an end? Granted the cooler nights and crisp country mornings have a welcomed return.

I can’t help myself – it’s mostly all female vocals with a few light male vocals in there (every so often).
So… what to expect to hear a big NEW track with Róisín Murphy and the Crookers – it really is an impressive track. But who am I kidding, there is so much GREAT music being released that it is simply to hard to keep up. I would have LOVED to have included “Tracey Thorn’s” new single in the mix, as it really is a wonderful track.
A year from now, everyone will be wondering what earth was without “Robyn” – “I kNOW” you laugh now… but really this is the next BIG star, launching with #3# NEW FULL CD’s for 2010 (that’s 3 full CD’s – 20 odd tracks). OMG – every time I hear “I keep dancing on my own” – I just want to play it again. Also included a track of Robyn from a few years ago.

Spring is in the air and the party’s are in full swing.
DJ iGUY is doing an 80′s Inspired playlist for the “First Friday” at LaRue’s (Asheville NC) and then again at the end of the month at Bettie’s (Atlanta GA).
DJ iGUY will also be playing a two hour set for the Mutts & Divas Fashion Show hosted by Asheville Humane Society at the newly opened Hotel Indigo -151 Haywood Street, Downtown Asheville 28801 – May 16th – more details to follow. www.ashevillehumane.org

For a wet Spring weekend – some interesting (mostly all female vocals) downtempo electro music.
It really is an exciting time for well formed solid electronic music. Everywhere you look, another new talent arrives on the music scene. Each with their own unique sound, look and YouTube collection.
Both Lykke Li and Little Boots are resurfacing the coming face of electronic music – with bows to Hot Chip for paving the way (I completely forgive Hot Chip for an awful live show at the Orange Peel, Asheville NC ).
